Ask a question about or relating to Haru and I'll reply with a miniessay explaining my answer. It can be anything from "How would he react to ____" or "Would he ____" or "What are his thoughts on ____" or whatever. Ask as many as you'd like.

He can be a bit OCD about the placement of things and must have everything neatly put away or cleaned, or he will not stand for it. If he comes to a messy place he will insist it be cleaned or do it himself, oftentimes being easily distracted, whether it be in conversation or in his activities. His occasional bluntness or overt means of affection can often times put people off or make them averse to him, and Haru himself isn't particularly interested in socializing either -- just enough so that they are usually considered "means" to his end; to create puppets. This would also be another downfall of his, as his obsession with them is constant and can reach a macabre form, putting his puppets above most people. He is curious (and we all know what happened to the cat) and in some cases it can get a bit morbid -- one of the examples of many, encompassing his love for puppets and the unknown, would be to see if really, could you make a human puppet?
STRENGTHS: Haru is confident, hardworking, and refuses to give up once he decides he wants to do something or desires an object. He is usually open-minded and can be rather outgoing in public, and because of his curiosity he is very knowledgeable, having found the answers to most of his questions. He doesn't have much of a taste for people, but he does tend to understand them fairly well. And despite his personality, Haru is rather good at making decisions based on logic, rather than emotion.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: N/A
PERSONA: N/A -- may possibly change, but I'll try to refrain from anything like this for awhile
WEAK; N/A
STRONG; N/A
NULL/BLOCK; N/A
REFLECT; N/A
ABSORB; N/A
HIGH-EVADE; N/A
PERSONA ABILITIES: N/A
ARCANA: Priestess
FACTION: N/A
PERSONALITY: Haru is the sort of person who personafies the word "Tease". He is a person who doesn't appear to take anything seriously, who loves to test his luck, and especially doesn't mind seeing if he can push you to your limits (and better yet, can you take it?). He's playful and not the least bit shy, and acts very extroverted, as if he's got nothing to hide -- but it's very easy to tell he does, the only trouble being that you can't tell what, and he certainly won't tell you. He's the sort who uses terms of affection or pet names for people to say what he thinks of them or just to see their clockwork reactions.

While he's not hyper and energetic like a child, he seems to have an endless supply of energy coming in a moderate flow, whether it be just how he acts or just because he goes on days for a time working on something. While Haru tends to be put-out at the prospect of hard work or large projects, he simply needs to get motivated before he works on it tirelessly with his perfectionist results. He can take "no" for an answer, but that doesn't mean he'll stop -- on the contrary, that makes it a bit more interesting, doesn't it? Though he can be a bit of a skeptic and prefers logic over emotion, Haru recognizes that he's no better than the rest of the people around him. He can seem like a bit of a hermit, but he's not a terrible person. Really.
BACKGROUND: We have a happy (a bit bizarre, but happy) married couple, a culdesac, and one little boy.

Haru always had a taste for figures and dolls, no matter what they were -- action figures, toys from fast food meals, stuffed dolls; anything and everything like that. Now, this was fine for the first five years of his life, but really? Not that many boys play with dolls and toys once you enter primary school. At the time, it upset Haru, because why couldn't he like the things he liked without being made fun of for it? There was nothing wrong with his collection -- he only collected the quality ones, after all. They just didn't understand. He refused to make friends with anyone who disagreed with his love, and that was that. He didn't cry, he didn't make a fuss, he just decided. And his parents, supportive of their son's special penchant for puppets and dolls (they were sure it meant something great), supported his desire despite the urging of his teacher's otherwise.

Of course, his parents' outlandish methods and Haru's strange likes made it unsurprising that some people would label the family as strange. They didn't bat an eye and looked away -- it wasn't that big of a deal, after all. However, when his younger brother Tama was born when Haru was five, it was less than a few years before their family had been really labeled as a nut house. But they didn't care a bit.

It wasn't until Haru was seven that he met someone who understood his love without thinking it strange -- a girl named Mayu who loved to sew. They became friends quickly and decided that if Haru would make dolls and puppets, Mayu would make clothes for them to wear. This was when Haru's ability to create things began to shine, and his obsession for puppets grew rapidly. Before he had been regarded as a hermit, having always been tinkering with a doll or two at the edge of the yard or reading a book on their creation and history, but with Mayu he learned the pleasure of social interaction and, despite his growing passion with puppets and dolls, he wondered why he had cursed the world around him so much, even if they had ridiculed him for his interests. Soon, Haru was able to gather one or two other people who he could hang out with, and his dream to create puppets of everything and everything and just make them blossomed, inspiring him to become very serious about his trade and everything that effected it. He studied anatomy and fashion (to the extent that he knew what sort of body type would suit what sort of wear and the like) and bits of this and that, all for the sake of puppets.

But eventually, he became too engrossed in his puppetry that he began to ignore his friends and family (the furthest he would interact with them being letting them just watch him work in his makeshift workshop behind his house), and before he knew it, when he was twelve Mayu gave up on him and eventually moved away when he wasn't looking, and his other friends moved on and had no interest in him. It didn't really hit him until Tama had come home particularly miserable and needed his help (cannibals weren't looked upon fondly, you see). He had listened to his problems every now and again as Tama had watched him work, but he had never realized that his own brother was having such a hard time. They talked. They talked for a long time, until everything was sorted out (on his end and Tama's), and they were just a bit closer than before, just a bit more connected, and Haru realized that he couldn't fix a relationship like he could a puppet, even if he understood how it ticked.

Puppets, ultimately, were a much better alternative, but, he would begin to wonder, weren't people almost puppets as well? Imperfect, ugly, nowhere near the beauty of the real thing, but close enough, right? It was interesting, and the moment he figured this out things just clicked. He would and could interact, but it was all just on a string -- like on a marionette. And wasn't that just fine.

When he was fifteen, his little sister was born, and it was at this point Haru began to learn the importance of family, placing them on the level of his darling dolls. He began to go out and take them out places, and grew much closer to them as a result. A stronger string, but still a string nonetheless.

As he was entering the final years of his high school, Haru realized he couldn't just continue as a puppet maker or stay with his family forever -- for one, it wasn't financially stable, and he needed that if he were to continue making puppets. Because of this, Haru began buckling down to study, taking on classes that would lead him to a stable and well-paying job -- and, just to be sure that he had some sort of income and something else to put on his resume, he took on a job as a Teacher's Assistant at Gekkoukan High.

Just recently has he settled in, and now he has to get used to his job (he is starting nearly halfway into the school year, after all) while setting up his new work shop. All's fair, as they might say, but he doesn't particularly remember the rest of that phrase.

WHY IS YOUR CHARACTER HERE?: To make the students' lives a living hell, to perfect his art of puppetry, to aid the chaos between the factions if it benefits him.

CHARM; ||
ACADEMICS; ||||
COURAGE; |||
